Our community education courses are designed for those living with Lewy, their families and care partners. Classes are facilitated by leading expert medical professionals and clinical researchers as well as by those living with Lewy and their care partners. The curriculum focuses on providing a deeper understanding of the symptoms of LBD, ways to navigate challenges and changes that arise during the progression of the disease, and how to access and advocate for support resources.

Professional Education

Courses Available Spring 2024

Our professional education curriculum is designed for clinicians and health care professionals to support client centered care for people living with LBD. Course topics, developed with guidance from LBDA’s Scientific Advisory Council, will focus on deepening your understanding of the complexities of LBD, recognize its signs and symptoms, and empower you with the resources and tools you need to better manage your patient’s symptoms and help them achieve a better quality of life.

LBDA is honored to make SPARK available to academic medical institutions and community organizations as a resource for educational events for healthcare professionals and the public.

SPARK: Robin Williams and his Battle with Lewy Body Dementia is a sought-after educational resource, nationally and internationally, to increase understanding of LBD, the importance of early detection, diagnosis and quality care management for better outcomes for those living with Lewy, their families and care partners.
