About the Course
This course provides clinicians with a comprehensive review of The U.S. Based DIAMOND Lewy™ Management Toolkit, designed to enhance the complex clinical management of patients with Lewy body dementia (LBD), which includes both dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), and Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD).
Clinicians will gain actionable insights to improve patient care and optimize treatment plans.

Professor John-Paul Taylor, MBBS, PhD, MRCPsych
Dr. John-Paul Taylor is a leading dementia researcher and one of the original authors of the DIAMOND Lewy™ Toolkit. As Professor of Psychiatry at Newcastle University and a consultant for the UK National Health Service, his work focuses on improving diagnosis and treatment for people living with Lewy body dementia. Dr. Taylor’s research translates clinical insights into practical tools that enhance care and outcomes for patients worldwide.
Jennifer G. Goldman, MD, MS, FAAN
Dr. Jennifer Goldman is an internationally
recognized expert in movement disorders, specializing in cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms in Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia. She serves as Chair of the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) Industry Council and has held numerous leadership roles across research and clinical networks. Dr. Goldman’s work bridges neurology and psychiatry, advancing understanding and care for individuals with complex neurodegenerative diseases.
Gregory Pontone, MD, MHS
Dr. Gregory Pontone is a psychiatrist and
neurologist whose research centers on cognitive and behavioral symptoms in Lewy body and Parkinson’s diseases. As Division Chief of Aging, Behavioral, and Cognitive Neurology and Co-Director of the Fixel Neuropsychiatry Program, he integrates mental health and neurological care to support patients holistically. His work advances evidence-based treatments that improve cognition, mood, and quality of life for patients and caregivers.
Jori Fleisher, MD, MSCE, FAAN
Dr. Jori Fleisher is a movement disorders
neurologist and Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center, where she directs the Rush Lewy Body Dementia Research Center of Excellence. Her research and clinical leadership focus on interdisciplinary and supportive care models for individuals with advanced neurodegenerative diseases. A nationally recognized advocate and mentor, Dr. Fleisher is committed to improving access, education, and quality of life for patients and families.
Daniel Weintraub, MD
Dr. Daniel Weintraub is a board-certified geriatric
psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a psychiatrist at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. His research focuses on the psychiatric and cognitive symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia. Dr. Weintraub serves on multiple national and international research committees advancing understanding, assessment, and treatment of neuropsychiatric complications in neurodegenerative disorders.
Stuart J. McCarter, MD
Dr. Stuart McCarter is an Assistant Professor of
Neurology at Mayo Clinic Rochester specializing in sleep medicine and neurodegenerative disorders. His research explores how sleep impacts cognition and disease progression in conditions such as Lewy body dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementias. Widely published and nationally recognized, Dr. McCarter is dedicated to improving clinical care through evidence-based therapies and personalized sleep management strategies.
Shannon Chiu, MD
Dr. Shannon Chiu is
a movement disorders neurologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She specializes in Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia, with research focusing on early diagnostic biomarkers and imaging-based approaches. Dr. Chiu’s work integrates patient-centered care with scientific innovation to enhance early detection, treatment precision, and overall quality of life for people living with movement and cognitive disorders.
